Index: 10076
Maker: Ludwig
Year: 1933
Notes:

The Ludwig "The Ace" model appears in the period Ludwig catalogs between the Kenmore and Stratford models.

However, this Ace is much wilder than the catalog examples. The banjo is totally shrink-wrapped in pearloid, both the neck and the resonator, which has a great decoration in red. There are some age-cracks in the resonator veneer, but it's all solid. Ebony fingerboard with fancy pearl inlays. Original Planet geared pegs.

Oh, and the top-tension hoop is brass so it won't bust.

Totally original and very playable. Included is a sturdy original Ludwig hard case which is lined in corduroy.

From an estate, offered AS-IS.
