What we have here is a 1946 that was retopped and refinished by Martin, it appears they did a neck-set at that point. It retains the original Brazilian bridge, the top is redone in period-style with a small maple bridge plate. So it is sort of a new 1946 00-17

This guitar demonstrates why '31-'32 are considered by far the best years for 12 fret Martins. It has just an unbelievable sound, great neck-set and saddle height and is just super. It has a later added pickguard, the bridge appears to be an excellent correct footprint, and one very slight hairline in the lower back. One of the best 00's I've ever played.

A superb guitar, basically a 1945 in terms of appointments: Ad top, ebony fittings. Condition is stunning, recent neck set, zero issues. This guitar has the '46 neck profile, big, fat, round, feels more like the wide neck of the 30s. The Brazilian rose wood on the back and the sides are curly, obviously matched from the same log, perhaps the nicest rosewood we've seen. Huge sound. Love this guitar.

This gorgeous guitar was a Martin employee guitar from back in the day when certain employees were allowed to make their own guitar as evidenced by the lack of a serial number. I believe the top is Adirondack, made with 41 style appointments. This is really a marvelous guitar, fantastic sound. It was my wife's choice of guitars for many years until she joined me in falling off the deep end and started playing gypsy guitars.
