Gibson Country-Western,
With the exception of some finish crazing this guitar is virtually like new. It has full saddle height and is in superb condition in every respect. The tuners look like new ....wait a sec, they are new ( the originals are in the case pocket.) OHC.

Notes:
This appears to be a custom guitar. It has the more desirable fixed-saddle bridge, I believe it to be original as it is obvious where the more common adj. bridge slot replaced, appears factory. The double pickguard I believe is original as well: the engraving is slightly different but the material is identical and that makes sense, as it would have been custom ordered; the treble side pickguard shows pick wear that has worn the engraving both in the pickguard engraving and the pearl dove engraving. The guitar is in stunning condition, the only issue being a long back crack that has been repaired with some finish work in that area, it really doesn't photograph very well. The guitar in general is in stunning condition, shiny and newish looking. It is an excellent playing and sounding guitar.

Notes:
No serial or FON #, but I'm going to suggest 1947 from the tuners, clear knobs and case. A lovely guitar in a great hard case, it has some neck wear but is in splendid condition otherwise, has a lovely deep tone and plays well.

This L5 features parallel bracing rather than 'X' bracing, they came both ways that year. It is a fine player with the deep dark sound that is hoped for from this period. It has been played, but is in very good shape, one tight short hairline crack in back and missing the easily replaceable pickguard, most of those nitrocellulose pickguards from that period disintegrate. Really a great sounding guitar, comes with a nice '50's Gibson brown case.
